About Us
The F/X Players is the name of the drama club of Fairfax High School. We do 3 main-stage shows a year, plus Student Directed One Acts. Students are not required to be enrolled in classes to audition for shows, although enrollment in classes usually results in better auditions, and subsequently casting. Many of our members are inducted into Troupe #4008 of the International Thespian Society, an honors society for theatre students. We believe that each student should learn all aspects of theatre, without pigeon-holing or over-specialization. All our students are encouraged to act, to direct, to build with wood, to hang and cable lighting, to paint, to make props, to design costumes, to sing, etc. "No truth but on the stage!"

- Hang out with us and have FUN!
Theatre Arts and Technical Theatre classes are open to all students. Games, improv, acting, writing, power tools and electrics… One of the best classes you will ever take!
